Merger Questions and Answers


Will your bank name change?
The bank name will remain Wood County National Bank.

What will happen to my account(s)?
Your account(s) will continue to be handled with our utmost priority and care.

Will my account number change?
In most cases, your account number will not change. There are only a few situations where account numbers will need to be changed to avoid duplication.

Will the ABA routing number change?
Eventually, a single ABA routing number will be used by all bank locations, but until that time, we will continue to own and utilize the existing routing number of Wood County National Bank. Checks and Electronic Transfers will be rerouted through the new routing number for First National Bank which is 111905609. The routing number currently used by Wood County National Bank will be phased out through attrition.

Will I get new checks?
New checks will only be ordered for accounts where duplicate numbers exist between offices. You can continue to use your existing supply, and your next reorder will reflect the new ABA routing number.

What will be the cut off time for daily transactions?
The cut off time for all locations will be 3:00 p.m.
Currently the cut off time is 2:00 p.m, so the actual business day will increase by one hour.

Where do I send loan payments and deposit transactions?
You can continue to send your payment(s) and deposits to the same branch location that you have in the past. You may also send your payments and deposits to any bank location listed in the Q &A.

Will I get a new debit card?
No, not at this time, and in fact, you can use your WCNB debit card at all First National Bank ATM's at no charge. This will give you more access to your money when you need it.

What will happen with FDIC insurance?
Following the merger, deposits from Wood County National Bank will be insured as follows: The separate insurance of deposits assumed continues for six months from the date that the assumption takes effect or, in the case of a time deposit, the earliest maturity date after the six-month period. In the case of time deposits which mature within six months of the date the deposits are assumed and which are renewed at the same dollar amount (either with or without accrued interest having been added to the principal amount) and for the same term as the original deposit, the separate insurance applies to the renewed deposits until the first maturity date after the six-month period. Time deposits that mature within six months of the deposit assumption and that are renewed on any other basis, or that are not renewed and thereby become demand deposits, are separately insured only until the end of the six-month period.

What will I see and when will I know the merger happens?
As mentioned in the attached letter, the merger will occur on December 31, 2011.
As part of the regulatory application process, you may have noticed that we have published notice of our application in a number of area newspapers. For those of our customers using our online banking or bill pay services, you will see changes in appearance, but not execution. There will be no change of the operational aspects of your online banking or bill pay. We will continue to maintain the web address you presently use.

What about the people at the bank that I know; will they change?
The same friendly employees you see today will continue to serve you as they have in the past.

Will any offices close following the merger?
No.

Will my rates or fees change?
The rates paid on deposits and charged on loans, as well as our fees, will continue to be established by a local team led by your location president.

As a customer of Wood County National Bank, can I use the other banking locations for my banking needs after the merger? If so, what banking locations can I use to transact business?
Yes, you may use the other locations for your banking needs. In fact, this is an added benefit to the merger, making your banking experience more convenient. You may use the following locations.
